Patience

  • Be of good comfort for the Lord is with you and will deliver you. Submit your will cheerfully and with patience. He'll go with you. (Mosiah 24:13-17)
  • Submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord. Be happy and patient and God will strengthen you! (Mosiah 24:15)

Serve! Serve! Serve!

  • Who can you treat better even though they hurt you? Who can you serve? Doesn't mean you have to trust or like them. Just means to act Christ-like. (3 Nephi 12:44)
  • Reach outward and it'll fill the emptiness you feel inside
  • SERVE! (3 Nephi 12:16)
  • Serve as uniquely as you can. Make a list of ways you can serve.

  • Always look for a new opportunity to love, serve and to work
  • You are encouraged to serve and help those in need.
  • Turn your thoughts toward Heavenly Father, fellow men, your neighbor – that your burdens may be light and your time of struggle may be quickened.
  • Push the doubt, insecurity and uncertainty aside and look forward to the work. Lose yourself.
  • You'll be a great tool as you serve your Heavenly Father. As you love those around you and look for the good in them, your life will be blessed as well.

When you ponder the life of Jesus Christ, what do you see? When you're encompassed in sorrows or grief, feel lost or forgotten, despairing doubting, damaged or defeated, behold the man. He will comfort you, heal you and give meaning to your journey. Power to the faint. Seek to align your life with His. TRUST HIM!

General Conference Apr 2018 – Sunday Morning

Larry Wilson – To quicken = make alive. Pray to know what you can do.
      1. Tune our receiver to Heavenly Father's frequency. He is eager to guide you and you are one prayer away from receiving that guidance again.
      2. Ask what you can do to solve the problem. We must live a guided life with our hands on the iron rod – not just following others in front of you.

Sis. Reyna Aburto – We are on a journey back to our Heavenly home. We are given divine attributes to navigate through life. Know the Lord personally. He will help you know your purpose. Miracles will happen when you work together. Forget about your own needs. Serve with one accord.

Massimo De Feo – True disciples love to forgive. They're quick to forgive and quick to ask forgiveness. Don't think about what others have done to you. Think about what the Lord has done for you. Forget about yourself and pray for others. Respond with love and kindness to whatever comes our way. It's all about love.
  1. Serve others with love = personal revelation and peace. Service will open your mind to personal revelation and peace.
  2. Serve, love and lead as Christ did.
  3. Resist sin and radiate goodness.
  4. Seek / care for your virtuous companion.
Divine laws even control other worlds. Predictable, dependable, and repeatable = The Gospel. Not every bad thing that happens to you is because of sin. There's very little growth in the comfort zone and there's very little comfort in the growth zone. Faith – believing and expecting our prayers to be answered. God keeps His promises – you have every right to be optimistic. You deserve the best!

Claudio Zivic – Endure and you shall triumph. No one will be able to make excuses before the Lord. Bridle all your passions that you may be filled with love. When we continue in our sins we forget the covenants we made with the Lord. Where are we in our attitude to our Savior and His work?
  1. Daily pray and read the scriptures
  2. Weekly partake of the sacrament
  3. Pay tithing and monthly fast offering
  4. Every 2 years renew temple recommend
  5. Serve in the work of the Lord. Repent and endure on the path which I have shown you

Henry B. Eyring – Open your heart to receive inspiration and affirmation of the Holy Ghost. Obedience may mean to be quick, or prepare or wait in patience. Receive inspiration and act on it.

Dallin H. Oaks – Keep paddling! Don't give up! Don't stop! Constantly try to move forward. By small means the Lord can bring about great things.

Mosiah 7-23 - Tips for Life

  • The burdens you're tied to will be loosed. Patience, gratitude, faith and forgiveness are vital. God answers our prayers and questions many times through other people. Put your turst in God. Quit worrying about it! Full purpose of heart – give it everything you got! TRUST and SERVE! (Mosiah 7:8,13,14,19,33)
  • fashion, footwear, grassChoose the more difficult yet righteous path instead of easier sinful / slothful path. God hears you! Be patient and give Him time to answer you. (Mosiah 9:12,18)
  • Always be prepared! DON'T be lazy! (Mosiah 10:2,4)
  • If you ask for His help, He'll strengthen you to be able to endure with faith and to have more trust in His promises. You have been promised. TRUST! When dating, make sure you choose a man/woman of God. A faithful servant. (Mosiah 23:2,10,14)

Receiving Revelations

  • Knock and it shall be opened unto you (Mormon 9:21)
  • Do you pour your heart out to God? (Alma 46:17)
  • It is important to be still to let the Holy Ghost speak to you.
  • Build strength upon the times you've felt the Spirit to give you hope and courage. Whether it's in your education, in seeking out a worthy companion, or seeking out revelation.
  • As you allow yourself to follow the promptings and to accept His timing, you'll have the peace that you desire – for you'll no longer be worried about something that you've been promised. For you know Heavenly Father always keeps his end of the bargain.

Heavenly Father Loves You!

  • If the Lord is with you, you can do / accomplish anything! (Joshua 14:12)
  • Do you have a yeilding heart until God? (Hel 3:35)
  • Do you seek God's or your own will? Are you wiling to put aside your own desires for His? (Hel 10:4)
  • He's not doing this to harm you. Trust Him and He'll give you real treasures. (Alma 61:2)
  • God will provide the way (1 Nephi 17:3)
  • He'll provide a way for you to live (Alma 60:35)
  • Do you trust God? Then let go of your boat and take His hand into the stormy waters
  • Heavenly Father doesn't want you to suffer (Alma 46:18)
  • By your faith He will guide you and help you and warn you to flee according to your danger. He has been strengthening you. (Alma 48:8,15)
  • Heavenly Father knows you. He cares about the little things.
  • He didn't put you here to fail – he has made a way for you to succeed.
  • Your Heavenly Father is helping and pushing you to get your accomplishments!
  • Love yourself as Heavenly Father loves you.

Hope for Tomorrow

  • The sun will come out tomorrow! (3 Nephi 1:19)
  • Put your focus and efforts and heart upon God.
  • It's ok to be sad – as long as in the end you recognize your blessings and remember your promises. (Mosiah 25:10)
  • Be zealous! Do NOT slouch in your beliefs! (Alma 21:23)
  • Replace your doubt and fear with faith and trust (3 Nephi 8:4)
  • Depend on your faith for it will guide you!
  • Stand tall for you have MUCH to be proud of!
  • You can accomplish all things. One step at a time.
  • Life is not easy. Life is not fair. BUT it can indeed be wonderful as you allow the Spirit of your Heavenly Father to grow within you.

  • Seek out Heavenly Father in your challenges!
  • As you apply the appropriate priorities you'll see what's open to you!

  • Don't seek the easy way for those are the ways of Satan; but, seek the more difficult path for in them are the rewards achieved.
  • With courage and faith confront your trial and remember the promises that have been made unto you.
  • Obey the law of health. Go to bed early and wake up early. – Word of Wisdom (D&C 89)
  • By following God's paths and ways you'll have that joy that He has promised

    -seek spiritual help 
    -decide on a time and place to talk if there is a serious history of problems 
    – seek to understand 
    – let spouse talk 
    – use appropriate language 
    – plan on exceptions

-If you put in as much time to read the scriptures as you do to text your friends, you'll be amazed.
-Put your hand on the temple and see how you feel.
-If you have enough faith, anything is possible.

General Conference Oct 2017 – Sunday Morning

Jean B. Bingham – Study the Living Christ. Sometimes we're too scared to trust. As you trust, peace will come. Heavenly Father is not only concerned about our comfort, but also about our upward progress. What brings you joy? Center your life on Christ and you'll find joy.

W. Craig Zwick – Look beyond what you see. See others through the eyes of Christ. Widen the tiny lens of our own personal lives.
